Serious cravings!!!
Oh my goodness. I am so hungry. It was actually much worse during my period but it's still pretty bad. Seriously, all I wanna do is eat cheddar bay biscuits, pizza, cheesecake, soda, just crap food. I was actually doing really good right after the 1clense phase but then I did the 2 day gorge and oh my goodness all the cravings just came right back. I have 26 days left until phase 2 is over and it is exciting to see the weight go away but honestly I can't wait until I reach my goal... and or my next 2 gorge days. :(
On the upside I lost 2 pounds today.

Here are my photos for the week. My camera on my phone is messed up so the photos are pretty blurry. I have lost 5.4 pounds this week. Which is not too bad considering I started my period 2 days ago. They prepared me for this, it is unlikely that I will lose much weight this week but I am losing some each day. But I must say being on my period this week has been the most difficult part of the program so far. All I want to do is eat cheesecake, chocolate, cheddar bay biscuits, pizza, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. I am so hungry. And the cravings for sweets and salts are really nearly unbearably awful. So I am trying my best. However I have been very bloated in the mornings which really sucks.
Other than that it's been going pretty good. I am starting to get bored with my food so I've been trying other things on the list. The meatballs in marinara sauce are terrible. But the curry is awesome and I like to add shrimp or beef to that recipe.

vintage polka dot capri pants and chicken soup

Okay so things have been going well so far. This week I started using the phase 2 recipes instead of just the plane foods. They are good but I needed some variety. So far I have had the cucumber salad, the chicken soup, the beef curry, the barbecue shrimp, and the tomato salad. With so few ingredients I really thought that they were going to be terrible, but I was so wrong. They really are yummy. I especially love that curry and the chicken soup. Here is a picture of my chicken soup and I tell you it really was good. No I would suggest to be careful not to overdo the pepper. The only real concern I had with this so far is that I'm having really bad chapped lips and no chapstick to fix it with the chapstick does contain oil. But overall I have been feeling well as long as I get my proper amount of sleep and exercise. I do you still have some sensitivity to the new york but mostly it's okay. Though I have found that it's easier for me to do the needle if I'm laying down on the bed and pretty much just let it go in as slowly as possible that way I don't really feel it. The needle is really sharp so it pretty much put itself and if you are careful about it. And then I take out really fast when I'm done so that it doesn't feel too weird coming out. This seems to be the best method for me but I'm really a chicken when it comes to needles. For some reason I am totally fine with piercings and I actually have 7 in fact. However, I really just can't take medical needles because of the sensation of fluids going in & out it's just too weird. And I almost always pass out, so that's why any time I had to get shots when I was in the military they always always make me lay down. There is actually a note in my VA chart telling them that I have to lay down to get shots and have blood taken. my yoga pants are starting to get listen not stay up very well. Most of the close I had been quite nice are starting to loosen up. As a matter of fact before I started the program I had just bought a pair of vintage polka dot capris. Admittedly they are a stretchy size 12 and I was being well rather hopeful in purchasing them. A new years eve I tried them on and I couldn't zip them up not even with my hubbys help. Tonight I tried them on again. I got them on with no troubles and I could evan zip them up all by myself. I wouldn't say they fit perfectly but I could get them on even though they were a bit tight. I think they will fit me quite nicely in a week or 2.

gorge days

I started Phase 2 of Dec 29. So the 29th & 30th were my two gorge days and boy were they difficult. Stuffing my face about every two hours was so hard to do. I don't generally eat a lot at once just snack all day. Still not good but I am learning to change. At any rate, I both loved and hated this part of the diet. I was miserable for the two days from eating to much but it was soooooo yummy. But now I am having cravings again. Grrrr.... How frustrating.
I had planed to stay home for New Years Eve so I just started on the 29th. Boy I wish I wouldn't have done that. My hubby surprised me by taking me to his friends house for a new years party.... It was so hard to not eat all the goodies. :*( Boo... But his buddy gave me some ham, pickles, celery, and an orange. It was not cookie cake and wine but it kept me from going nuts on all the snack food. But now I really want to eat a lot of junk food. But, I lost a pound and a half today soooo... it's all worth it. Though finding something to wear is now getting more and more difficult. I have a feeling that goodwill is about to get a huge pile of clothes. Though for some reason I have been having headaches the last couple of days. Oh and I did very well getting my full 1hour walk in the last 2 days.
